Possible Scam “Conference” warning (Posted March 2025)

As of early March 2025 – and ongoing, there is a Conference being advertised on the internet with the title:

“International Conference on Forensic Dentistry and Bite Mark Analysis (ICFDBMA-25)”

This “Conference” appears to be taking place in multiple cities and in multiple countries throughout the year and requires both presenters and applicants to pay a significant sum in advance and even before any programme is released (other than when the lunch and tea breaks are).

Please be warned that there is good reason to suspect that this is a scam and has produced a warning notice which includes:

“SCAM ALERT      Fraudulent individuals may attempt to collect Conference Fees using fake accounts ……”

It would be wise to carry out your own investigation of any advert for an “International Conference” in the subject of “Forensic Dentistry” or “Odontology”, especially if the same organiser has multiple Conferences listed in niche subjects taking place at around the same time.

It may well be that the subjects of  Forensic Odontology and Forensics in general have become attractive to scammers.
