Note that joining BAFO will not, in itself, confer inclusion on the map of available Forensic Odontologists.

Full membership: Restricted to those holding an appropriate professional dental qualification and those invited to full membership by the Committee by virtue of their standing and reputation in allied fields.

Associate members: Any person who has a professional interest in Forensic Odontology.

Student members: Any undergraduate dental or DCP student, at the discretion of the Committee.

All applications for membership will be considered by the Committee, as well as the category of membership you have applied for. The Committee meet about four times a year, thus a decision may not be immediate.

Membership charges (Usually by Standing Order after initial payment)

Full or Associate Membership – £40 per annum

Student Membership – £20 per annum

References

Please provide details of two professional references, of whom one must be a Full Member of BAFO. (If no BAFO reference is supplied, an application for membership may be accepted by the BAFO Committee upon provision of a full curriculum vitae with two appropriate professional/academic references). Undergraduate student applicants must include one reference on the teaching staff of the student applicant's dental school.
