BAHID
The British Association for Human Identification is an informal academic association of personnel involved in the process of human identification.
The Association was launched in Glasgow in October of 2001 and now has close to 300 members.
The membership is very varied and incorporates many fields of forensic expertise including: pathology, anthropology, archaeology, DNA, facial reconstruction, forensic art, odontology, radiography, podiatry, technical support, police, lawyers etc. Although we have a substantial number of overseas members we are predominantly a central focus for British practitioners. We hold a scientific meeting once a year and we actively encourage student participation and foster a mentoring approach to our disciplines.
BAHID annual conference 12-14 April 2007 at the University of Surrey. More information here
